Andrew Gillum says he has an ambitious plan to fund education ... specifically public schools.
It's a billion dollar plan ... but he says it won't cost taxpayers a dime.
"Not one Floridian will pay a dime more under our plan. Not one," he said. "Ninety-eight percent of corporations in this state will pay no more today than what they will pay under my plan."
The Democratic nominee for governor says his plan will call for targeted corporate tax hikes.
Gillum says his plan will only affect big companies.
And he says those companies can afford it because their federal taxes are being reduced by more than six billion dollars next year.
Gillum adds that's the best way to start undoing the damage done during 20 years of having the GOP run the show in Florida.
