Teachers are asking the politicians for a pay raise.
Florida Education Association President Joanne McCall says they want every person running for office this year to sign a pledge to raise teacher salaries to the national average over the next four years.
"The average teacher salary in Florida was 47,257 dollars in 2017," she said. "That's more than 12,000 dollars less than the national average."
Florida politicians claim they're spending more on education than ever before, but teacher salaries are 45th in the nation.
Those salaries are also down 12 percent over the past decade when the salaries account for inflation.
