Rick Scott wants to make the move to Washington.
The governor, who is term-limited in his current job announced his bid for the GOP side of the U.S. Senate ticket Monday in Orlando.
Scott claims that, after two terms as Florida governor, he's still an outsider.
"I didn't fit into Tallahassee because I didn't play the insider game," he said. "I never intended to fit into Tallahassee and, guess what, I'm not going to fit into Washington either."
Scott says the only way to fix the deadlock in DC is to stop electing career politicians and impose term limits on members of Congress.
Scott is running with the full endorsement and encouragement of Donald Trump, and Floridians can expect to see and hear Trump speaking frequently on Scott's behalf.
