ERA Going Nowhere in Tallahassee

It's been 35 years since the Florida Legislature rejected the Equal Rights Amendment but ERA supporters haven't given up.

Patricia Farley with the Democratic Women's Clubs of Florida says they're asking lawmakers to do the right thing.

"We need the ERA because we need its protections against a rollback of the significant advances in women's rights achieved over the last half century," she said.

ERA ratification bills have been filed in the state House and Senate this year but they're going nowhere.

The bills haven't been assigned to any committees... which means they can't even get a hearing.
