Florida is in for a coll spell throughout the weekend, but weather forecasters say things should not get as cold as they did during the last cold snap that slammed the Sunshine State.
Lows over the weekend are expected to dip into the upper 30s for the central Florida area, for example.
And, while temperatures are forecast to be at freezing or near it in some parts of northernmost Florida, forecasters say they do not expect things to be as cold as they were during the cold spell that came ahead of this one.
For that matter, weather officials say Florida will get into relatively warmer territory as Monday rolls around.
Temperatures for much of the week ahead appear to promise conditions remaining on the cool side, with a sign that another big chill could be on the way by Thursday.
