Country Music Star Arrested for DUI

Police say Country music singer Michael Ray was arrested early Wednesday after a quick run to a McDonald's restaurant turned into a fender-bender.

Authorities say the incident took place at a McDonald's in Eustis.

Ray's Twitter account lists the city as his home.

According to incident accounts, Ray was waiting in a drive-thru line when his Jeep Wrangler smacked into the car ahead of him in line.

Officers say Ray told them his foot had slipped off the brake pedal, causing the accident.

The police report noted that officers said Ray's speech was slurred and his eyes were blood-shot.

Officers say Ray was given a field sobriety test prior to his arrest.

A search of his vehicle turned up a glass bottle containing cannabis oil, police said.

Ray, whose legal name is Michael Ray Roach, had scored a Number 1 Billboard country hit with his song "Kiss You in the Morning."
