The Florida National Organization for Women is calling for an outside investigation of the sexual harassment allegations against a powerful state senator.
Women's advocates in the Florida Capital want someone from outside the system to investigate new allegations of sexual harassment.
Tallahassee attorney Rick Johnson has spent 30 years representing harassment victims in court and he says the deck is stacked in the legislature.
"I have advised the great majority of them to keep their mouths shut or not to sue," he said. "I have done that because I have seen so many of them destroyed; I have seen so many of them dragged through the mud."
Six woman have accused State Senator Jack Latvala of Clearwater of harassment.
Latvala denies the allegations, but the backlash has already hobbled his campaign for governor.
