More Swastikas found in South Florida high school's bathroom

DAVIE, FL. - Anti-Semetic graffiti has been discovered on the bathroom walls of a South Florida high school for the second time in a week.

School district officials say just days after the bathroom walls at Western High School in Davie were defaced with swastikas, someone on campus struck again.

A spokesperson for Broward County Public Schools announced that more swastikas were found Tuesday, stating "unfortunately, there were new images discovered today. The District continues its investigation.”

The discovery comes four days after custodians found racist and anti-Semitic graffiti on a bathroom wall.

The district says custodians cleaned up the writing immediately.

Western High is not the first school to be targeted by vandals. Earlier this month, a sixth-grader found a drawing of a swastika at Westglades Middle School in Parkland.

In their statement, an official with the Broward School District stated “any individual found involved will face appropriate disciplinary consequences. Broward County Public Schools does not tolerate displays of bigotry and hate and is committed to educating students about the profound impact of bias.”
