Paperwork Tangle for New Marijuana MDs

Florida physicians who want to recommend medical marijuana for their patients are facing a Catch-22.

Doctors cannot be certified by the state for medical cannabis until they complete a new training course... and that course doesn't exist yet.

The law was just changed and the Florida Medical Association has yet to come up with the new 2-hour training program required for certification.

Doctors can still take the old 8-hour course online... but it doesn't count under the new law.

Florida has more than one thousand doctors who are already certified to recommend medical marijuana... but new applications are on hold.
