An upgrade for your driver's license.
Alexis Bakofsy at the Florida Department of Highway Safety and Motor Vehicles says it's been completely redesigned, there's more information than ever and it has twice the security features of the existing license.
"The new Florida credential meets all the American Association of Motor Vehicle administrator's standards, along with Real ID standards," she said. "In addition, some of the security features that are on the new card are unique to Florida, and won't be able to be replicated in other states."
The new licenses are being phased in starting in August, but you won't have to get one until your old one expires.
