FLORIDA - A coordinated enforcement operation across Florida has resulted in a record breaking seizure of illegal vaping products, marking the largest confiscation of its kind ever reported in the state.

According to state officials, a joint operation involving the Florida Attorney General’s Office, state regulatory agencies, and local law enforcement led to the seizure of more than 2,100 illegal and contraband vaping devices and related items.

The enforcement effort targeted multiple locations throughout the state, including businesses in Clermont, Ocoee, Okaloosa County, and Milton.

Authorities reported that hundreds of illegal vapes were removed from each location as investigators focused on products that were allegedly being sold in violation of Florida law.

In addition to vaping devices, officers also seized nitrous oxide canisters, inhalation balloons, and charging devices commonly associated with recreational inhalant use.

During the operation in Okaloosa County, the owner of a vape and cigar shop was taken into custody.

Investigators allege the suspect illegally sold nitrous oxide, which is classified under state law as drug paraphernalia when distributed for inhalation.

Arrest records show the suspect faces multiple felony charges related to the alleged sale of the substance.

Officials confirmed the arrest followed evidence gathered during the inspection and seizure process.

State inspectors also cited numerous regulatory violations during the operation. Agencies reported that several products lacked proper labeling, failed to meet child resistant packaging requirements, or were marketed in ways that allegedly appealed to minors.

Some items were also flagged for containing substances that exceeded legal limits under Florida regulations.

Officials said the multi agency crackdown was aimed at protecting consumers and reducing the availability of unlawful vaping products, particularly those that could pose risks to children and teenagers.

Investigations are ongoing, and additional inspections are expected statewide.
