Rayner Suspends Congressional Campaign

A second Democrat is dropping out of the race to replace Congressman Charlie Crist.

State Rep. Michele Rayner (D-70) says she's ending her campaign and will run for re-election.

She says her decision was based on the state's new congressional map, which she calls an illegal gerrymander that denies residents from having a free and fair election.

Last week, State Rep. Ben Diamond dropped out of the race, saying that under the governor's new map, he no longer lived in the district for which he was running.
