Florida's highest ranking Democrat begins Day #1 of announcing the new CDC COVID numbers. Florida Agriculture Commissioner Nikki Fried says Florida logged 16-thousand-38 new cases on Tuesday, marking a 6th month high. Fried says she's taking it upon herself to announce the numbers daily because the governor won't. She also commends Miami-Dade, Broward's School Board, Orange and Leon counties for enacting new mask mandates. Governor DeSantis says he will address Broward's requirement since there is no mask mandate in Florida. He's announcing the Florida Department of Health numbers tomorrow.
