Florida Has 7 Of The Top 20 Cities With Greatest Rise In Rent Values

Seven Florida cities are on a list of those with the greatest rise in rent values this year.

Palm Beach Gardens is number 1, according to the rankings from insurance comparison site Insurify.

Analysts say that "While many major metropolitan areas saw significant declines in rent value due to the pandemic, Palm Beach Gardens experienced an overall rise of rent values indicative of increased demand for apartments."

The median rent cost spiked from February of 2020 to February of this year by 10.55 percent, with the median being just over $2,100 a month.

Wellington made the list in third place, with an 8.28 percent rise year-over-year.

Boca Raton is ranked at 9th and Delray Beach is 20th.

Other Florida cities in the Top 20 are Miami Beach, Coral Gables and Palm Harbor.
