Controversial Florida Elections Bill Discussed By Senate Committee

A bill that would tighten vote by mail laws being debated in the Senate Rules Committee.

Proponents say it's about trying to eliminate election fraud.

But opponents like state Senator Randolph Bracy say the legislation amounts to voter suppresion.

Senate Bill 90 would, among other things, require voters to submit vote-by-mail requests more frequently and prohibit the use of drop boxes.

The Rules Committee adjourned before voting on the bill.
