Lightning Welcomes Back Fans, Grand Prix Makes Plans

TAMPA & ST. PETERSBURG -- A Tampa Bay sports team and a Tampa Bay sports event announce plans to welcome back fans.

The Tampa Bay Lightning will allow fans in the stands at Amalie Arena, starting with the Nashville game a week from Saturday. Maximum capacity is 38-hundred... sanitizer stations have been installed along with ultraviolet lights on escalator handrails... and mask and social distancing rules will be in place. The NBA's Toronto Raptors, playing at Amalie because of the pandemic, could soon announce their own plans.

Meantime, the Firestone Grand Prix race in St Petersburg will allow as many as 20 thousand fans per day in late April under a plan approved Thursday by St Pete City Council.
