Vaccine Access Expanding To Teachers, LEO, Firefighters

COVID-19 Vaccine

(Tallahassee, FL) -- Florida is expanding coronavirus vaccine eligibility again.

Governor Ron DeSantis announced this morning he will sign an executive order allowing teachers, law enforcement officers, and firefighters 50 and older to get the COVID vaccine.

DeSantis says more vaccine supply will be available as Johnson & Johnson's newly-approved vaccine is shipped to states. He also says there are signs that demand for vaccines among the state's 65 and older population is softening.

On Friday, the governor signed an order to allow those who are medically-vulnerable to get the shots.
