Disney Keeping Parks Closed Indefinitely

Disney theme parks in Florida and California will remain closed until further notice.

The company closed its parks on March 15th as the coronavirus started to spread across the U.S. It closed down its retail and resort operations a few days later.

In an online post, Disney said it would continue to pay hourly workers or "cast members" thru April 18th as they monitor the situation.

Disney's other theme parks in Hong Kong, Japan, China, and France have also closed because of the outbreak.

The Disney theme parks and resorts will remain closed through the Easter holiday, which is a very busy time for travelers. Disney is reaching out to people who made reservations. Annual pass holders are being given an extension of their renewal date to compensate them for lost time at the parks.
