A late change to the Palm Beach County School calendar for the upcoming school year.
School Board members on Wednesday approved a last-minute tweak to the calendar which will give students Veterans Day off for the first time since 2016.
November 11th is a Monday this year and it will be a teacher work day, so teachers won't get the day off and that's something a couple of board members were not happy about, but they voted in favor of the change in order to finalize the calendar.
To offset the extra day off for kids, what was scheduled as a teacher work day, Friday, November 8th, will now be a regular school day.
