Taylor Swift is lending a helping hand to tornado-ravaged communities in Tennessee. The global superstar, and Time magazine's Person of the Year, has donated one million dollars to the Tennessee Emergency Response Fund at the Community Foundation of Middle Tennessee. Swift attended high school in one of the counties hit by a string of tornadoes over the weekend that left at least six people dead and dozens more injured.

The signing of superstar Shohei Ohtani is already causing prices for the Los Angeles Dodgers' 2024 home opener to soar before tickets have officially gone on sale. Last weekend, the two-time MVP, who both hits and pitches, signed a contract with the Dodgers for 10-years and 700 million dollars. The Ohtani news caused ticket prices for his Dodger Stadium debut on resale sites like StubHub to jump, with the cheapest available being a standing room only ticket for about 430-dollars including fees. The Dodgers haven't officially put tickets on sale yet, with the team telling fans on its website to check back for more information

Last week, it was reported that WWE had abandoned usage of Yeet, which had become a catchprase of one of their Superstars: "Main Event" Jey Uso. It seems the term had been trademarked in 2021 by Kasey Huffman, an independent wrestler based in West Virginia. Last Monday night, Raw went as far as to blur the term in video packages featuring Uso. Apparently, the WWE has worked things out with Huffman because, last night on Raw, Jey Uso was again wearing his "Yeet" shirt and many in the crowd were holding up signs reading...

Police say a Florida man is behind bars after he allegedly set one of his shoes on fire to stay warm and then drunkenly passed out, leaving the fire unattended. Earlier this month, officers arrived outside a real estate office in Lady Lake, where they say they found 38-year-old Michael Dubberly passed out in front of the building with a shoe fully engulfed in flames right in front of him. The fire, which was located less than 5 feet from the front entrance of the building, was extinguished by an officer. Lying next to Dubberly were several cans of alcoholic beverages. Dubberly was charged with disorderly intoxication and setting recreational fires.
