Sephora has become the latest company to act against shoplifters nationwide. The company announcing that they'll be removing all perfumes and fragrances from their shelves. Instead, customers will have only sample bottles on display, and if they want to purchase something, they'll have to have an employee grab it from the back. The National Retailers Federation estimates that, last year, thieves cost businesses close to 80 billion dollars.
Stars will be honoring the King of Rock and Roll this holiday season on the NBC special "Christmas at Graceland." Alanis Morissette, John Legend and Lana Del Rey are among the stars who'll be performing Elvis Presley Christmas songs live from his iconic mansion in Memphis, Tennessee. The special will be the first time Graceland has hosted a televised concert, which will also feature never-before-seen footage of Elvis. "Christmas at Graceland" will broadcast live November 29th at 10pm on NBC and Peacock.
Life expectancy in the U.S. keeps falling. According to new research published this week in JAMA Internal Medicine, life expectancy for American men is at 73-point-two years, nearly six years shorter than women at 79-point-one years. It's the widest gap between the two since 1996. The overall life expectancy in 2022 was 76-point-one years, down from 78-point-eight in 2019. The numbers in the U.S. are significantly lower than other wealthy nations.
Videos on YouTube show something unexpected on board a plane going from New York to Belgium last week: a runaway horse. The cargo flight operated by the charter airline Air Atlanta Icelandic climbed to about 31-thousand feet when the crew contacted Air Traffic Control in Boston to let them know the horse escaped from its stall. The video shows one of the pilots saying they "don't have a problem flying-wise." Air Traffic Control grants the request to return to JFK Airport and dump 20 tons of fuel east of Nantucket because the plane was too heavy. The pilot also asked for a veterinarian upon landing because the horse was in distress.

Could we see a rock and roll reunion next year? Sammy Hagar is inviting David Lee Roth to join him on tour next year. On Tuesday, Hagar announced his 2024 "Best of All Worlds Tour," which is named after Van Halen's 2004 "Best of Both Worlds Tour" that featured both Van Halen singers. The new tour will feature Van Halen's Michael Anthony on bass, Joe Satriani on guitar and Jason Bonham on drums. Hagar is also inviting Roth on the tour, to sing the early Van Halen songs. On "The Howard Stern Show" Tuesday, Hagar said Roth is welcome if he "wants to come out and join us," because it's all "about Van Halen."
The Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade is coming up next week, and organizers say it is going to feature six new floats. One has this theme of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. There will also be a Willie Wonka-inspired chocolate float. And a new Snoopy float will also debut that'll show Woodstock and friends looking for wild turkey.
