A mystery concerning the album Led Zeppelin Four has been solved. Ever since it was released in November 1971, fans have wondered about the figure on the album cover: a grey-bearded man whose leathery hands are grasping a pole supporting a bundle of hazel on his back. Now, a university researcher in the U.K. has matched the image with a print at the Wiltshire Museum. His name was Lot Longyear, and he a thatcher by trade, who lived from 1823 to 1893, 78 years before the album was released. Led Zeppelin Four is the band's biggest-selling album.

A new study suggests cats are not really all that aloof and are actually quite expressive. Researchers at UCLA began studying felines in 2021 to learn more about how they communicate, and found that cats displayed at least 276 different facial expressions. About 46 percent of those were friendly, 37 percent were aggressive and 17 percent were ambiguous. The study's co-author says she's considering creating an app that would allow people to record their cats' facial expressions to determine what feelings they're expressing.

A mom is learning that her late daughter performed on the "final" Beatles song without even knowing it. Erika Buckman says her daughter, Caroline, played the viola and was part of the string session in a recording session in 2022 that was added to John Lennon's demo tape for the song "Now and Then." Caroline only knew that it was a recording for Paul McCartney, who attended the session. Erika said her daughter had performed with many famous artists, but McCartney was the first one she ever asked for an autograph. Caroline Buckman, who played viola on the recording, died of breast cancer in March at the age of 48.
