The world-famous "Fat Bear Week" is crowning its champion. Her name is 128 Grazer. She lives in Katmai National Park in Alaska. Fat Bear Week is an online competition set up like the March Madness-brackets, and it's all based on popular vote. Fans all over the world voted on Katmai's Brown Bears, after they assessed slender-bear pictures from June and fat-bear pictures from September. A fat bear is a healthy bear, since that's how they survive winter's hibernation. Park Rangers say Grazer is huge and she earned over 108-thousand votes.

Stargazers in the West will get a chance to see a "ring of fire" eclipse this weekend. Technically it's an "annular" eclipse. The "ring of fire" name comes from the fact that the moon blocks all but the sun's fiery outer edge. The best viewing on Saturday will be from the Central Oregon coast through Nevada, Utah, the four corners area, New Mexico and Texas. Elsewhere, people will see a partial eclipse, where the sun looks like a big cookie with a bite taken out of it.
