Another loss for the music world: British singer-songwriter Roger Whittaker has died. His family and Sony Music shared a statement confirming his death on his official website yesterday. Without disclosing a cause of death, they revealed that Whittaker died last week. He was best known for songs like “Durham Town,” "New World In The Morning" and “The Last Farewell.” Roger Whittaker was 87.

Vanna White will remain on "Wheel of Fortune" for at least two more seasons. She has signed a contract extension that will keep her on the long-running game show through the 2025-26 TV season. The news comes as host Pat Sajak starts his farewell season. He announced in June that he will be leaving the show after hosting it for more than four decades. White will continue to reveal letters as Ryan Seacrest takes over for Sajak next year.

Maine's longest-serving senator says she'll wear a bikini on the Senate floor to protest the relaxed dress code of the chamber. 70-year-old Republican Susan Collins then clarified it was a joke, and added her threat was a protest of Majority Leader Chuck Schumer's decision to suspend the Senate's dress code. Although Schumer didn't explain why, many think it's to accommodate Pennsylvania Democrat John Fetterman who wears a hoodie and gym shorts in the Senate building. He's been casting votes from the hallway in order to avoid a breaking the former dress code rules.
Some never-before-heard recordings by The Beatles are up for auction. The collection of six tapes contains band rehearsals, unreleased albums, and interviews. It is expected to fetch between three and five-hundred-thousand-dollars. The auction runs through Friday at gotta-have-rock-and-roll-dot-com.

Remember the guy who had hits in the 1960's like "Brown-Eyed Girl" and "Domino?" Van Morrison is back--rolling out his latest album "Accentuate the Positive." The first single is "Shakin' All Over." It's a new take on the song originally done by Johnny Kidd and The Pirates back in 1960...In regard to the upcoming album, Van Morrison said "rock 'n' roll" is about simplicity, sincerity, and expressive power and there's no way you can get away from that." "Accentuate the Positive" will be out on November 3rd.
A fast-food giant is coming out with something new for the kids: McDonalds is teaming up with Pokemon. McDonald's announced that it is rolling out new Pokemon Match Battle toys in Happy Meals. The package includes a special-edition Pokemon coin, along with a sticker sheet and four trading cards.
