The late singer Tony Bennett could be honored with his own special remembrance day. He died last Friday and Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer says his fellow New Yorker deserves a special day. He is proposing August 3rd which would have been Tony Bennett's 97th birthday. Schumer called Bennett a true American icon whose music touched the lives of millions of people around the world. Former House Majority Leader Nancy Pelosi of San Francisco, is proposing something similar for Bennett who sang about his love for her city.

TikTok users can now make posts using text on the popular app. The social media platform is now rolling out the feature that will allow creators to share things like lyrics, stories and recipes. The new addition to TikTok comes after Meta launched its Threads app earlier this month to compete with Twitter, now known as X. Last year, TikTok added support for images after it started out as a short-form video app.

Trader Joe's is issuing a nationwide recall of two of its cookie products that may contain rocks. Trader Joe's did not indicate how rocks got into the products. One of the products is Almond Windmill Cookies with a sell-by date between October 19th and October 21st of this year. The other is Dark Chocolate Chunk Almond Cookies with a sell-by date between October 17th and October 21st. Trader Joe's says all "potentially affected products" have been pulled from the shelves. Customers who purchased either of the products should either toss them out or return them to Trader Joe's for a full refund.

Vanna White is reportedly aiming to make a similar salary to longtime host Pat Sajak in order to stay on "Wheel Of Fortune." After reports of White only asking to make 50-percent of Sajak's salary, an unidentified insider told PEOPLE Magazine that White is asking for much more than that. They say she's asking for the same pay, if not more. White currently makes about three-million dollars annually, while Sajak is being 15-million. White is in the process of negotiating her contract to stay on the show past the 2023-2024 season and Sajak will be retiring after the 41st season wraps up.

A long-lost Steely Dan track has surfaced, but this one wasn't meant for an album. In between their first two albums in the early 70s, the band led by Donald Fagen and Walter Becker was asked to write a song for a Schlitz Beer commercial. The intro has Fagen providing an English translation of a Spanish-speaking man saying Schlitz's famous catchphrase "Grab all the gusto you can." The Steely Dan commercial never aired because Schlitz executives believed the Spanish word for "grab"--as in "grab all the gusto"--had another meaning not suitable for the airwaves. Including dialogue, the ad ran nearly two minutes.
