Let's talk presidential politics and the growing "Don vs Ron" gap, as the most recent polls show former President Trump continuing to lead Governor DeSantis by 30 to 40 points in the race for the Republican presidential nomination. My question to you- can DeSantis close the gap? And if so, how does he go about it?
I'll share my thoughts on that, and, as always, we'll want to know what you think. So join the conversation, here on the "50,000 Watt Front Porch" !

I'll also have results of a brand new poll showing DeSantis way behind Trump with women voters?! Frankly, I don't get it. DeSantis is a clean cut happily married father of three, while Trump's been married three times, has recently been found liable for sexually abusing a woman, and has been the focus of news stories about hush money payments to a porn star, and using his celebrity status to have his way with women sexually. How does that equate to Trump dominating
DeSantis when it comes to women voters?! You tell me, because I find it baffling!
It's been a couple of weeks since a baby in Palm Bay died after being left in a hot car by the mother, who has been facing the prospect of being charged with manslaughter of a child. However, she has not formally been charged with that serious crime, which could send her to prison for decades.
The child's death appears to be a tragic accident, and I remain conflicted over whether the mother should be charged with manslaughter or not. What do you think? Let's have the debate!
You'll hear Republican presidential candidate Vivek Ramaswamy demand that all his fellow GOP candidates pledge that if they become President, they will
pardon Donald Trump, should be convicted and sent to prison for his handling of classified documents at Mar-A-Lago. I'm not big on pardoning people, because to me, a pardon amounts to a "Get out of jail free" card for someone a jury of their peers found guilty of a crime! I would not sign Ramaswamy's pledge to pardon Trump...would you? Let's talk!
Newsradio WFLA National Correspondent Rory O'Neill drops by to discuss a brand new Quinnipiac poll on what is important to Americans.
From the Budman's Believe It Or Not File, comes breaking news Wednesday evening that the heroic Marine veteran Daniel Penny, who used a choke hold to subdue a raving maniac, Jordan Neely, on a New York City subway train, has just been indicted by a grand jury! Neeley, a homeless man with mental problems and a long criminal record, wound up dying, and now Penny is charged with second degree manslaughter and criminally negligent homicide. I am outraged over this indictment, because it is so clear to me that Daniel Penny was only trying to protect himself and his fellow passenger from Neely who was threatening to
kill everyone on the train. For this act of heroism, Penny could wind up in prison for nearly 20 years! We need to talk about this, and we will....so be ready to let me know what you think!
