Sad news this week for fans of a long-running TV show. "Dancing with the Stars" judge Len Goodman has died. Goodman passed away on Saturday at a hospice center in England after a battle with bone cancer. His manager said he was a much loved husband, father and grandfather and will be missed by all who knew him. Goodman was a professional ballroom dancer and served as a judge on the reality dancing competition from 2005 to last year. Len Goodman was 78.

Jury selection began yesterday in New York City in the copyright infringement trial of Ed Sheeran. The British pop star is accused of copying parts of Marvin Gaye's classic song, "Let's Get It On" for his song, "Thinking Out Loud." Sheeran being sued by the heirs of Ed Townsend, who helped co-write the song. Last year, Sheeran won another copyright suit over his song, "Shape of You."

Calling all Kyles. The town of Kyle, Texas, is trying once again to set the Guinness World Record for the largest gathering of people with the same name. The Gathering of the Kyles is scheduled for 4 p.m. Sunday, May 21st, at Lake Kyle Park. The free event will be the city's fourth attempt to break the world record. So far, the record is held by a 2017 gathering in Eastern Europe of more than 23-hundred people named Ivan.
A comedy legend is about to hit a milestone birthday. Carol Burnett is about to turn 90, believe it or not. But she doesn’t feel it inside, telling Page Six: “I feel like I’m 11!” Burnett is set to be celebrated with a TV special titled “Carol Burnett: 90 Years of Laughter + Love,” which was filmed last month but airs tomorrow- her actual birthday - on NBC. She said the evening "was incredible. It’s not a birthday party. It’s not a roast. It’s a variety show.” And, of course, she is best known for “The Carol Burnett Show,” a vareity show that aired on CBS from 1967 to 1978.
In Minnesota, you can call it "The stretch of road formerly known as Highway Five." Minnesota lawmakers have voted to rename a seven-mile section that goes by Prince's Paisley Park home and studio as "Prince Rogers Nelson Memorial Highway." Tributes were held throughout the Twin Cities over the weekend to commemorate the seventh anniversary of the death of "His Royal Badness." Prince died of an accidental overdose of fentanyl on April 21st, 2016. He was 57.
Taylor Swift is assuring her fans that she's just fine after pictures surfaced of an apparent hand injury over the weekend. The singer-songwriter took to social media yesterday to calm fans' fears. She said she cut her hand after tripping on her dress in the dark backstage in Houston. Swift told fans not to worry about her and that she's good. Her mega successful "The Eras Tour" will continue with three shows in Atlanta this weekend.
