BUD'S BLOG, MONDAY, APRIL 24th, 2023

We'll kick off another exciting week of shows for you on Good Morning Orlando by revealing all that's new in the Don, Ron & Joe Show, (as in Trump, DeSantis and Biden).

I'll take you inside one new poll that has Biden defeating Trump in a hypothetical 2024 presidential race, but DeSantis beating Biden. Then there's another poll that shows most American's don't want Biden to run for a second term (which he may announce he's doing as early as Tuesday of this week) and that there is very little appetite for a Biden-Trump rematch. Be ready to let us know where you stand on Don, Ron and Joe, as the 2024 race for the White House starts to really heat up. Give us a call at 407 916 5400, hit the text line at 23680 or use the iHeartradio app to record your thoughts using the Talkback feature!

In the wake of a black teenager in Kansas City who showed up at the wrong house being shot and wounded by a white homeowner, the boy and his family have been invited to visit the White House by President Biden. Then there's the story out of North Carolina about a 6-year-old white girl and her dad being shot by a black man after a basketball the girl was playing with rolled into the guy's yard. What do you think the chances are that Biden will invite the little girl and her family to the White House? I'd peg the chances at slim to none, and slim just left town! Why should the President treat one horrible story so differently than the other? Let's talk about it!

Are all the gay pride parades planned for Orlando and other cities and towns around the state now illegal because of new Florida legislation prohibiting children from attending live shows with adult content? A gay pride parade in Port St. Lucie has just been canceled, similar events in Lake County may be canceled or revised, and the same is true for the biggest gay pride celebration in the state, right here in Orlando. I have the solution! How about making all the gay pride events G-rated? Can't the gay community celebrate without having sexual content inappropriate for children, and now against Florida law?! What do you think?

Newsradio WFLA National Correspondent Rory O'Neill checks in with news about President Biden's plans to announce his re-election plans. He'll also have the latest Trump and DeSantis news for you.

We'll talk more about our Save AM radio campaign, and how you can help us pressure Congress to lean on the automakers to stop the trend toward removing AM from car radios in their new models, especially their electric vehicles. Not only is AM radio such a vital source of information in an emergency, but it carries a lot of the conservative news talk shows around the country, including Good Morning Orlando and all our other shows in Newsradio WFLA Orlando!

It's Open Mind Monday and your chance to sound off on the topic of your choice, knowing we'll listen and keep an open mind to whatever you say! Call in to 407 916 5400, text to 23680 or make a Talkback recording as you listen to WFLA Orlando on the iHeartradio app !
