School is out, but a senior at Bethel High School in Hampton, Virginia is looking forward to starting college in the fall, after being accepted by more than 20 schools. Selah Longchamp also landed more than 600-thousand dollars in scholarships, including a Gates scholarship. The full-ride scholarship founded by billionaire Bill Gates is a highly selective program for outstanding minority students. Selah has a 4.3 GPA, is president of her class and her school's National Honor Society, and is a cheerleader. She'll attend North Carolina A&T where she'll major in business information technology.

A giant animatronic dragon caught fire Saturday night at Disneyland and forced park visitors to quickly leave a popular show. The head of the 45-foot tall "Maleficent Dragon" caught fire in the middle of the "Fantasmic!" show at Tom Sawyer's Island. The show was stopped immediately as guests and cast members were hustled away while emergency teams put out the fire which had spread down the dragon's body. The Anaheim Fire Department reported no one was injured.

A renowned sessions drummer says George Harrison and John Lennon wouldn't let "outsiders" join in on their bashing of Beatles bandmate Paul McCartney. Jim Keltner performed on solo albums by Harrison and Lennon, as well as by Ringo Starr. Keltner said Harrison and Lennon would make "brutal" comments about McCartney. But he added that on separate occasions, neither Harrison nor Lennon would allow him to join in. Both ex-Beatles told Keltner "We can say that (about Paul), but you shouldn't."

The Twitter accounts of dead celebrities are getting verified blue check marks. A report from "Insider" says Kobe Bryant, Chadwick Boseman, Anthony Bourdain, and other deceased celebrities had blue check marks added to their accounts since the social media platform began its purge last Thursday. The check marks verifying the authenticity of a Twitter account are now only available to those who pay an eight-dollar subscription fee, and those who don't pay had their blue checks removed. Why dead celebrities are getting posthumous checks is unclear.
