A Motown icon is in need of donations to receive a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. Martha Reeves was nominated for the honor, which is planned for late 2023 or early 2024, but manager Chris Roe says if she does not raise over 55-thousand-dollars, she might lose the star. Martha Reeves was nominated for the star in 2021.
One of the most famous cruise ships in the world is reopen for tours again. In California, the Queen Mary welcomed visitors back over the weekend after pausing for three years due to the pandemic. And starting next month, reservations will begin for overnight stays. The Queen Mary retired in 1967 and converted into a hotel. It's permanently docked in Long Beach and known as one of the most haunted destinations in the country, complete with ghost tours.

For the first time in years, the stinky corpse flower is poised to bloom at the New York Botanical Garden. Visually, it's an elegant-looking pink flower featuring a center spike and a stalk that can grow 12-feet tall, but it smells like rotting meat. The last time the corpse flower bloomed it attracted 25-thousand visitors and two-million people who watched its progress on a live feed without the odor. Remember when The Rock sang? Dwayne Johnson is warming up those pipes again with Disney set to release a live-action remake of the animated hit movie "Moana." Johnson made the announcement yesteday during the Disney 2023 Annual Meeting of Shareholders Webcast. The Rock says he is excited to tell the story of Polynesian people through the "realm of music and dance." Johnson voiced demigod Maui in the original version of the film and is set to reprise his role. There's no word yet on who will star alongside him or when the film will be released.
WWE, World Wrestling Entertainment, is being sold to the company that owns the UFC, the Ultimate Fighting Championship. The deal with Endeavor Group will see the two companies combine into one at a value over 21-billion-dollars. Vince McMahon will keep his current title of executive chairman of WWE at the new company, which doesn't have a name yet. This comes after McMahon was forced to retire as CEO last year when reports came out regarding a hush money and sexual harassment scandal.

Happy anniversary to...the mobile phone. Yesterday marked 50 years since the first mobile phone call was made on April 3rd, 1973. And a new survey reveals just how vital we find our mobile phones to be. Nearly 72 percent of those surveyed couldn't imagine going more than a weekend without their mobile phone, while more than 23 percent believe they couldn't last more than an hour. A number of those surveyed would rather give up the gym, TV or even sex instead of their mobile phones.
