An adventure movie based on a role-playing game is this week's top film in North America. "Dungeons and Dragons -- Honor Among Thieves" earned 38-and-a-half-million-dollars in its first weekend in theaters across the U.S. and Canada. Coming in second is last week's top-earning film "John Wick -- Chapter 4" with just over 28-million-bucks. Rounding out the Top Five are "Scream 6," "His Only Son" and "Creed 3." "
A Motown legend is going back on the road this year. Diana Ross is announcing a dozen dates on her "Music Legacy Tour" beginning on June 9th. Five of Ross' first six shows are in California and the tour includes two stops in Oregon. The last date listed on her website is July 2nd in Chautauqua [[ shuh-TAH-kwuh ]], New York, but the announcement says more dates will be added. The former leader of the Supremes spent six months last year touring the U.S. and Europe.

In case you didn't know, today, April 3rd, is a celebration around the globe. It's World Party Day! Yes, today is World Party Day and you are encouraged to celebrate with themes party with music, drinks, games and food. Some ideas include a movie night party, a dance party, or an art party. The day was inspired by the 1995 novel "Flight: A Quantum Fiction Novel," which has a synchronized worldwide celebration that happens on April 3rd, 2000. If you participate in the day, make sure to use hashtag-World-Party Day.
TikTok's "Traveling Grannies" are back home in Texas. A while back, Ellie Hamby and Sandy Hazelip, both 81 years old, came up with the idea to travel around the world in 80 days and this year, finally made it happen. The friends of 23 years traveled to all seven continents -- taking an enthusiastic TikTok fan base along for the ride. They say they hope to inspire future generations and help people realize it's never too late to travel the world.
The current mayor of Allentown, the city, isn't thrilled with "Allentown," the song. Billy Joel's 1982 hit pays tribute to the people of the eastern Pennsylvania town, which was in economic decline at the time. Mayor Matt Tuerk says the Allentown that Billy Joel sang about doesn't reflect the city today, noting that Allentown is home to several corporate headquarters and one of the largest hospitals in Pennsylvania. At the time the song came out, Tuerk was living in a town about an hour north of Allentown. And he was seven.

An unlikely pair of four-legged friends have found their forever home. Cinnamon the goat and Felix the bulldog mix were brought to Wake County Animal Center in Raleigh, North Carolina in mid-March. A social media post about the pair went viral after a non-profit group that provides support to local shelters shared their story on Facebook. Cinnamon and Felix were re-homed to a foster family with a small herd of goats and plenty of green space. Wake County Board Chair Shinica Thomas called it the "best outcome" for the unlikely friends.
