Leo the Lion is roaring with delight now that an MGM picture is this week's top movie in North America. "Creed 3" earned nearly 59-million-dollars in its first weekend in theaters across the U.S. and Canada. The latest entry in the "Rocky" franchise beat out "Ant-Man and the Wasp -- Quantumania" -- which made just over 12-million-dollars in its third week of release. "Cocaine Bear" snagged third place. Bu the way, "Avatar -- The Way of Water" is hanging in there in sixth place.

Comeidan Chris Rock is addressing the infamous slap he got from Will Smith at last year's Oscars. Making history with Netflix's first-ever live broadcast, Chris Rock said that anyone who says words hurt "has never been punched in the face." He later went on to say that he wasn't a "victim," and that you will never see him on Oprah crying. Chris Rock has not spoken out about the 2022 slap in interviews or on social media.
The last original member of the iconic Jacksonville-based southern rock band Lynyrd Skynyrd is dead. Guitarist Gary Rossington died yesterday, according to a statement from the band. Rossington survived the 1977 plane crash that claimed the lives of three band members, but suffered numerous broken bones. He and bandmate Allen Collins formed the short-lived Rossington-Collins Band in 1980, and they both reunited with surviving and new members to re-form Lynyrd Skynyrd in 1987. A specific cause of death has not been revealed. Gary Rossington was 71.

After 17 seasons on daytime TV, the "Rachael Ray" talk show is ending. Rachel Ray said she decided it was time to move on to the "next exciting chapter" in her broadcasting career, and that her "passions have evolved" from talk show format. The chef will now transition her time to the launch of a new production company, Free Food Studios.

Pete Davidson may be in hot water after he crashed his car into the side of a house in Beverly Hills. The comedian was reportedly with his girlfriend, speeding through a neighborhood on Saturday night. Officials say Davidson lost control of the vehicle, jumped the curb, and took out a fire hydrant before slamming into the side of a nearby house. While Pete Davidson's car didn't go all the way into the home, there was significant damage to the property and exterior of the building. No arrests were made on the spot, but police are continuing to investigate.
Florida's annual Conch Shell blowing contest is over. Hundreds turned out in Key West this weekend as people of all ages took part in the tradition. One competitor even served up a version of Elvis Preseley's "Hound Dog." Judges graded performers on everything from sound quality to loudness and duration. Brian Cardis of Georgia took the men's division title this year and offered tips for would-be conch shell blowers.
