KISS is coming to the end of the road. The band, with its original lineup of Paul Stanley, Gene Simmons, Ace Frehley and Peter Criss, was born in New York City in 1973. Stanley and Simmons are still there and the band said in a statement it'll be awesome to wrap things up "ten blocks and 50 years from where we first started". The final KISS concerts will be held at Madison Square Garden in New York City on December 1st and 2nd. The onsale date for the general public is Friday, March 10th.
Disney is releasing the first trailer for its upcoming film "Peter Pan & Wendy." The movie will tell the classic tale of eternally youthful Peter Pan as he recruits a young girl named Wendy to come live in Neverland and never grow up. Alexander Molony stars as Peter Pan and Ever Anderson stars as Wendy, while the villainous Captain Hook will be played by Jude Law. Yara Shahidi will make history as the first Black woman to ever take on the role of Tinkerbell. "Peter Pan & Wendy" debuts on Disney-plus on April 28th.
Fans at the Louisville-Virginia Tech basketball game got a surprise Tuesday night. A frisbee-catching dog was providing halftime entertainment when he had a sudden urge to relieve himself on the hardwood at the KFC Yum! Center. That brought howls and applause from the crowd. Louisville went on to lose the game 71-to-54. Some have interpreted the dog's behavior as a commentary on Louisville's abysmal 4-26 season record.
Wildlife officials in Utah are encouraging folks to have bullfrogs for dinner. Bullfrogs are an invasive species in Utah. And, since this is National Invasive Species Awareness Week, the Department of Natural Resources is using this time to remind residents that they can catch and eat as many bullfrogs as they'd like. The department has even posted a recipe for Breaded Bullfrog Legs.
A dog in Arizona is being recognized for a very long body part. Bisbee, an English Setter from Tucson, was recently honored by Guinness World Records as having the longest tongue on a living dog. The length measurement begins at the tip of the snout to as far out as the tongue will reach. Bisbee's measurement came in at three-point-seven-four inches. However, Bisbee's tongue is far shorter than the previous record holder's more than seven-inch tongue.
Blake Shelton is revealing his first big purchase after making it as a country music star. The singer joked about buying a bulldozer during an appearance this week on ABC's "Jimmy Kimmel Live!." Shelton didn't buy the dozer for its conventional purpose. He says he used it to, quote, "you know, having a bad day -- or a good day -- get on it and go push some stuff." Since then, he has added to his farm equipment collection, including several Kubota tractors.
