A song from 1979 that didn't make the top 10 continues to make its mark in pop culture. The new movie "Cocaine Bear," which finished second in this weekend's box office, opens with "Jane" by Jefferson Starship.
The song was the lead single from the band's first album with lead singer Mickey Thomas after Marty Balin and Grace Slick left. "Jane" was featured during the opening credits of the 2001 movie "Wet Hot American Summer," as well as two Netflix series based on the movie. The song was also included in the video games Grand Theft Auto 4 and Rock Band 4. In addition, pro wrestler Orange Cassidy uses "Jane" as his entrance music at AEW shows on TNT Network.

A husky with a facial deformity causing a lopsided grin has been adopted by a family in Seattle. Sherry Lankston, her children, and their dog made the trek from Seattle to San Diego in a winter storm to adopt the pup they only saw in pictures. They say Harvey the husky immediately caught their family's eye when they saw a post of him on the San Diego Humane Society's social media site. Lankston says she saw that silly grin and knew they had to road trip more than 12-hundred miles from Seattle to San Diego.
This week marks the 40th anniversary of a TV milestone. It was this week in 1983 that MASH, the CBS series starring Alan Alda and set in the Korean War, ended its 11 season run. The two-and-a-half hour finale titled "Goodbye, Farewell and Amen" set a ratings record, drawing 106 million viewers. It was watched in over 60-percent of U.S. homes. It's a record that likely will never be equaled given today's fragmented media market.
