Subway is adding something new to select restaurants across the country: electric vehicle charging stations. The project is called "Subway Oasis." It'll include charging canopies with multiple ports, Wi-Fi, picnic tables, restrooms, playgrounds and green space. The chain is also planning to roll out smaller charging stations to some newly remodeled restaurants nationwide. Subway said the project will create a dedicated space for drivers to charge their vehicle while they enjoy their favorite Subway sandwich.

A New Jersey movie theater's new motto is "BYOB-Bring Your Own Baby." The Claridge in Montclair is promoting its matinee for parents, babies, toddlers and young kids. NJ-dot-com says it's a way for parents to enjoy some precious time rather than trying to secure a babysitter. Children under five are admitted for free at the baby-friendly matinees that start at 10 a.m. The nonprofit that runs the movie theater brought back the idea after revamping the theater in 2021.

The mayor of New Orleans is going viral for making obscene gestures to a passing Carnival float during Mardi Gras. Mayor Latoya Cantrell can be seen on video giving the middle finger to a passing float and yelling obscenities in front of children. It's not known what prompted the incident. Her office released a statement, saying it was "satire and jest." Meanwhile, organizers of a campaign to recall Cantrell believe they have enough signatures to trigger an election.
