Forbes' list of the highest-paid entertainers of 2022 is out. On top is Genesis: the trio of Phil Collins, Mike Rutherford and Tony Banks earned 230-million-dollars last year. Most of the band's revenue came from selling the rights to its catalog to Concord Music Group. Sting, who sold the rights to his catalog to Universal Music Group, finished second with 210-million-dollars. Then comes movie mogul Tyler Perry, followed by South Park creators Trey Parker and Matt Stone at number four and The Simpsons' James L Brooks and Matt Groening at number five. The rest of the Top 10 highest-paid entertainers: actor Brad Pitt, The Rolling Stones, Director James Cameron, Taylor Swift and Bad Bunny.
There was an unusual discovery last week at Fenway Park, home of the Boston Red Sox. The Boston Globe reported a groundskeeper dug up a glass bottle estimated to be older than the ballpark. The Fenway Park field was being renovated when the bottle was found. A spokesperson for the Red Sox said the type of bottle found was last manufactured in 1910, two years before Fenway opened.
Barney the purple dinosaur is set to return in an animated series in 2024. Mattel -- the creator of Barbie -- is putting out the show in addition to a new line of books, toys, clothing, and accessories. It's the toy company's latest charge into content creation after it brought back the Monster High and Masters of the Universe franchises. "Barney & Friends" has been off the air since 2010 after a nearly two-decade run. Mattel is also backing films based on a number of toys, including Hot Wheels, Magic 8 Ball and Uno, among others.

We told you recently that with the closing of a longtime attraction at Walt Disney World, some folks were going online, selling what they claim to be water from the Splash Mountain ride. The log flume closed on January 23rd to make way for Tiana's Bayou Adventure. According to the Orlando Sentinel, hundreds of fans flocked to the ride in its final days with empty jars, bottles and plastic bags. Since then, the Splash Mountain speculators have earned as much as seven-thousand up to 15-thousand dollars.
Disney is set to animate ESPN hockey coverage for Disney Channel in an attempt to get more kids into the sport. On March 14th, ESPN will air a live telecast of game between the Washington Capitals and the New York Rangers on the Disney Channel and Disney XD. The game will be called the "NHL Big City Greens Classic" and will be animated, featuring characters from the cartoon "Big City Greens." The traditional broadcast of the game will still air on ESPN and ESPN+.
A couple says the birth of their baby in the parking lot of a Colorado Springs restaurant has led to a fitting name for the child. Emily and Kemper Simpich were driving to a hospital last month when their baby decided he couldn't wait to be born. They pulled into the parking lot of Rudy's Country Store and Barbecue to wait for paramedics, but their son arrived before the first responders did. The couple ignored suggestions to name the baby Rudy, instead naming him Weston. However, they have nicknamed the child "brisket" and say they plan to bring him to Rudy's on future birthdays.
