BUD'S BLOG, WEDNESDAY, JANUARY 18th, 2023

We'll talk about the growing likelihood that we'll see an all-Florida heavyweight fight for the 2024 Republican presidential nomination between former President Trump and Governor DeSantis. Trump just made this interesting comment about DeSantis which I'll play for you on Wednesday's show:

So if he runs, we'll handle that the way I handle things." What exactly do you think Trump means by that? We'll talk about it, and I'll have some fresh poling on Trump, DeSantis and Biden as well.

Microsoft has just joined a growing number of companies offering unlimited time off to their salaried employees. At first glance that seems like it  would be a dream come true, but I'm not sure whether unlimited time off would be the ultimate work place perk, or a dangerous trap! I'll explain my thinking on that and we'll see what you think.

From "The Budman's Believe It Or Not" file comes the story of a man who shot and killed a gun-wielding robber who was terrorizing customers at

a restaurant. Many are calling him a hero, but some want him to face charges, because he emptied 9 bullets into the robber, which they consider

overkill, and because it was later discovered that the robber was brandishing a very real looking fake gun.! So what about it? Should a grand jury

charge the man I consider a hero...and if so, charge him with what?! Let's talk!

We'll have the very latest for you on the Biden classified documents, as we're joined live by Newsradio WFLA White House Correspondent Jon Decker.

We'll close Wednesday's show with a couple of stories I place in the category of race based insanity, and we'll see whether you and our Good Morning Orlando team agree with me or not:

A plan is taking shape in San Francisco to pay each long time black resident $5 million dollars as reparations for slavery, which they never experienced, and as compensation for whatever racial discrimination they may have experienced during their lives. Is that justified or not?

And, in Canada, the "Brownies", the organization for girls too young to join the Girl Scouts, is being renamed the "Embers", because girls of color are supposedly uncomfortable being called "Brownies. There's a movement afoot to do the same thing here in the U.S., so let's talk about it!
