A study by an Arizona State University professor shows that a famous Monty Python sketch may provide an effective form of exercise. Exercise physiologist and longtime Monty Python fan Dr. Glenn Gaesser cites the "silly walk" by John Cleese's character "Mr. Teabag." Dr. Gaesser says the silly walk uses more than twice the energy of a regular walking pace. He equates it with running more than five minutes. He added that 15 minutes a day of the silly walk meets the "guidelines for weekly vigorous activity." Gaesser's findings were published in the British Medical Journal.

Ticket sales are booming for the NFL. Sports Business Journal reports NFL regular season attendance shot up to a six-year high in 2022. Games saw an average crowd size of just under 69-thousand-500 fans as attendance not only returned to pre-pandemic levels, but beat them. The league also set a total attendance record of 18-point-eight-million -- a number boosted in part by now having 17 regular seasons games instead of the previous 16-game schedule.
