BUD'S BLOG, WEDNESDAY OCTOBER 19th, 2022
We'll play some key moments from Tuesday night's debate between Florida U.S. Senate candidates, incumbent Republican Marco Rubio and his Democrat challenger, Congresswoman Val Demings. Rubio's up in the polls, but did anything happen during the debate that might become a game changer?
I've just learned that a man has died after riding the slow moving People Mover in Disney's Magic Kingdom. So, does that mean there will now be a hue and cry to shut down and tear down the People Mover?! That may sound absurd to you, but it's equally absurd to me that the death of a teenager on Icon Park's Free Fall ride in Orlando has led to a decision to tear down that ride. Let's talk about it!
Brace yourself for the scariest story I've seen in a long time! In the wake of the deadly COVID-19 pandemic that most believe began when the virus was created and escaped from a lab in Communist China, there are reports that scientists in a lab at Boston University have just developed a super deadly strain of COVID-19! Now the lab is pushing back and saying the reports are sensationalized and inaccurate. It's hard to know where the truth lies, but all of this raises questions I think we should talk about. Why are they doing this experimentation with COVID? Why is this being allowed when one mistake could unleash a new pandemic far worse than the one we're still dealing with?! Check out some of the reporting on what's been going on in that Boston University lab:
Do you trust the media? That's the question we'll discuss as Newsradio WFLA National Correspondent Rory O'Neill drops by with results of a new Gallup poll showing trust in the media is close to an all time low in this country. And, we'll follow up Rory's report by asking you to tell us which media outlets you trust the most and which ones you trust the least.

If you're a regular listener to "Good Morning Orlando" you know the Budman is a huge fan of Tom Brady, the greatest NFL quarterback of all time! Maybe I just naturally gravitate to old guys who can still get it done. Anyway, Tom's getting a lot of flack for a comment he just made that playing an NFL season is like being deployed in the military. Does he deserve the criticism or not? We'll let you hear exactly what Tom Brady said, and then we'll talk about it and see what you think!
