I'm angry but not surprised that the jury has recommended Nikolas Cruz, the confessed Parkland school mass murderer, get life in prison and not the death penalty I think he so clearly deserves. Most of the families of Cruz' victims are outraged that their loved ones are dead, but this monster gets to live. We'll talk about the jury's decision and we'll ask you to vote in our One Word Texting Poll: DO YOU AGREE WITH THE JURY'S DECISION TO GIVE NIKOLAS CRUZ LIFE IN PRISON INSTEAD OF THE DEATH PENALTY? TEXT "YES" OR TEXT "NO" TO 23680.

We'll play some of the highlights from Thursday evening's televised debate between the candidates for the District 10 congressional seat being vacated by Val Demings. The debate pits the Republicans very classy retired Green Beret Colonel Cal Wimbish against the Democrats 25-year-old anti-police left wing extremist Maxwell Frost. For the sake of Florida and the whole country, Wimbish needs to win this race, but in such a heavily Democratic district, sadly, it looks like a long shot.
