Queen Elizabeth is being urged to give a "royal honour" to a British band.

Members of Parliament made the request of the Monarch after Ozzy Osbourne and Tony Iommi of Black Sabbath reunited at the closing ceremonies of the 2022 Commonwealth Games in Birmingham, northwest of London. The MPs wrote that Black Sabbath "have kept strong links with Birmingham" despite gaining fame around the world. Ozzy, by the way, performed at the ceremony despite having spinal surgery in June.

Major League Baseball is punishing a player for dropping something during a game last week. Pittsburgh Pirates' rookie Rodolfo Castro was sliding into third base at Arizona when a phone popped out of his back pocket. He has been suspended one game and fined for the incident. The ban stems from violating the league's policy against bringing unapproved electronic devices onto the field. Castro is appealing.
