Taylor Swift is filing a motion in response to a 2017 copyright lawsuit claiming that she stole the lyrics from her 2014 hit "Shake It Off." The group 3LW claims that Swift copied lyrics from their 2001 song "Playas Gon' Play." In a sworn declaration this week, Taylor Swift stated that the lyrics to Shake It Off "were written entirely" by her. The case was initially thrown out in 2018, but resurrected in 2021 by an appeals panel. A U.S. District Court judge also ruled last December that the case would need to be brought before a jury.

As the old saying goes, "Walk a mile in my shoes." But a man in Washington state tried to walk in somebody else's shoes without permission. Spokane Valley Police were called to a Walmart where a customer had put on a pair of shoes, left his old shoes on the rack and ran out of the store wearing the new shoes. Deputies caught up with 27-year-old Jacob Lockard and took him into custody. He was charged with theft and resisting arrest and he has been banned from all Walmarts for 99 years. There was a bit of good news for Lockard: he did get his old shoes back.

Good news, Steven Seagal fans: he is back in front of the camera in Ukraine, acting as a spokesperson for...Russia. On Tuesday, a Russian news site posted a video of Seagal appearing to speak against Ukraine's use of U.S.-made rocket artillery. The video was recorded in the wreckage of a prison where dozens of Ukrainian POWs were killed in a recent attack. Ukraine and Russia blame each other for the attack. Seagal has long supported Russia, including its 2014 annexation of Crimea. Seagal was given Russian citizenship in 2016.

A combat-ready bra could become part of a female Army soldier's uniform. It's called the "Army tactical brassiere"...and is still in development at the US Army Combat Capabilities Development Command Soldier Center or DEVCOM at a base in Natick, Massachusetts. This bra is going through a lot of testing, including flame-resistant testing.
