A new study suggests dogs can "see" with their noses. Research in the Journal of Neuroscience reveals dogs' brains connect vision and their sense of smell, which isn't found in other species. That means they have brain structures that link smells to how they see. The study's senior author said dogs use scent to figure out where things are, but the exact experience is hard for scientists to know.

And, to hang on to your wallet. Captain Kirk, aka William Shatner, picked up some corn and cherries last week at a fruit stand run by Gary Tognetti in Northern California, and he somehow left his wallet in the corn bin. Tognetti's daughter Natalie found it and gave it to her father, not realizing it belonged to a celebrity. Tognetti told a friend who's a local police officer and the police department got hold of Beverly Hills Police who contacted Shatner's agent. The 91-year-old star posted his posted his appreciation on Twitter, thanking the dad and daughter for "their extreme honesty in returning my lost wallet."

The people of Ukraine are getting help from an American rock and roll band. Imagine Dragons has been named ambassadors for UNITED24, a project to raise funds for humanitarian aid in Ukraine that was created by the country's president Volodymyr Zelensky. Singer Dan Reynolds said the band will work with local leaders to raise money and awareness "until this unjust war ends." Imagine Dragons also showed solidarity by canceling their concerts scheduled in Russia this summer and pulling their discography from the Russian market.

The murder hornet's life of crime is over. The Entomological Society of America says it plans to rebrand the murder hornet as the northern giant hornet. The Washington State Department of Agriculture will adopt the name change. The murder hornet was first sighted in North America in Washington state in 2019. The insect can grow to more than two inches long and, with multiple stings, can kill a human.
