Video game sales are set to fall annually for the first time in years. The global games and services market is forecast to fall one-point-two percent this year, to 188-billion dollars. The COVID pandemic was great for the gaming industry's financial health. The sector grew 26-percent from 2019 to last year, with a big lift in 2020 as people spent much of their time indoors. Analysts say the prospect of a recession is hurting sales.

A zoo in Idaho has a spider monkey that might be the oldest spider monkey in the world. Zoo Boise threw a birthday party last weekend for the monkey named Elvis, who was donated to the zoo by a private owner. Spider monkeys in captivity usually live to be 20 to 40 years old. Elvis is 60. And it was quite the party. Along with Elvis, the zoo also celebrated the birthday of an Aldabra tortoise named Mr. Mac, who turned 100.

A one-of-a-kind- Bob Dylan recording is no longer on the market. His new recording of "Blowin' in the Wind" has sold at auction. Dylan re-recorded the classic song in March 2021 using new technology. The original version recorded in 1963 included only Dylan on a guitar, vocals and a harmonica. The new version features a full band and only one physical copy of that recording exists and if you want to hear it, you'll have to talk to the auction winner, who paid more than one-point-four million dollars for it.

A mother in New Zealand must be quite the rock and roll fan. She has named her three children after heavy metal bands. New Zealand journalist and documentary filmmaker David Foster was the first to report the woman's children are named Metallica, Slayer, and Pantera. Foster said he was suspicious at first but he's seen the birth certificates and those really are the kids' names. Foster says the mom told him, "It's not easy raising three of the heaviest bands."

An animal shelter in Alabama is returning a homing pigeon to its owner, who lives in England. The pigeon named Bob turned up at the Monroe County Animal Shelter, about 90 miles from Mobile and four-thousand miles from his intended destination. Bob was supposed to fly ten hours from the Channel Islands in the UK to his home in northeast England. Bob was covered in oil when he landed in Alabama and his owner believes the bird crossed the Atlantic Ocean by hitching a ride on an oil tanker.
