LeBron James is a Billionaire in 'Elsewhere'

The Rolling Stones kicked off their 60th anniversary tour Wednesday night in Madrid. Over 50-thousand fans were at the show, kicking off a European tour with original band members Mick Jagger, Keith Richards and Ronnie Wood. The band played 17 songs, including the 1966 classic "Out of Time," which the Stones were playing live for the first time ever. The Sixty Tour will include 14 shows in ten countries, and is being dedicated to their late drummer Charlie Watts. The next Rolling Stones show will be Sunday in Munich.

Well, you know who is a billionaire now? LeBron James. That's according to Forbes as they noted LeBron earned just over 120-million dollars last year. The Los Angeles Lakers star is the first active NBA player to reach the billionaire milestone. One thing that has helped LeBron hit that mark is a lifetime deal with Nike. He first signed an agreement with the shoe giant in 2003 when he was just 18-years-old.

And, finally, a California woman got more than she bargained for when she brought home a sofa set she got for free on Craig's List. Hidden inside one of the sofa cushions was cash. A lot of it. 36-thousand dollars. Vicky Umodu immediately drove from her home and returned the money to the family who gave her the sofas. The family told her they were liquidating the possessions of a deceased family member and found more money hidden around the house. They gave Umodu some of the sofa cash back so she could afford to buy a new refrigerator.

Betty White's former Los Angeles house is sold. The five-bedroom home was built in 1952 and has a beautiful backyard with a pool. Betty White lived in the home for over 50 years before passing in late 2021. Her house entered the market in April and was listed for a little over a month before selling for ten-point-six million dollars. The new owner's identity or their plans for the house and lot are still a mystery.

And, finally, Donald Trump is still upsetting people with his music choices. The former president spoke at the National Rifle Association convention in Texas last weekend and his appearance was accompanied by the Sam and Dave song "Hold On, I'm Coming." It was produced at Stax Records in Memphis and written by Issac Hayes and David Porter. On Twitter, Porter wrote he "did not and would not approve" using the song for any of Trump's purposes. The estate of Hayes tweeted a similar sentiment.
