A novelist credited with writing an essay called "How to Murder Your Husband" has been found guilty of--guess what--murdering her husband. Romance novelist Nancy Crampton Brophy was found guilty yesterday of shooting her husband Dan Brophy in 2018. During the seven-week trial in Portland, Oregon, prosecutors argued the 71-year-old killed Brophy in order to cash in on a life insurance policy. They successfully claimed the 71-year-old novelist shot him twice using a ghost-gun kit she bought online. Sentencing is scheduled for June 13th.
Is nothing sacred? Winnie the Pooh is being turned into a horror film. There's not much information about the upcoming tale other than it's being called "Winnie the Pooh: Blood and Honey." The movie is not being created by Disney because the famous bear entered the public domain earlier this year. There's no word on a release date.
Here in Florida, Manatee County Commissioners want to name a new park after Governor Ron DeSantis. Commissioner James Satcher says it's a tribute to DeSantis' firm stance against lockdowns and mask rules. The county asked residents to submit names, and a late surge fueled by local Republican activists pushed DeSantis to victory over other potential names including "South Park of Manatee," "Park Side of the Moon," and "Parky McParkface."

A group of senior citizens in Florida have now set a new record for the world's largest game of freeze dance. More than 13-hundred people participated in a freeze dance while at the 2022 National Senior Games in Fort Lauderdale. Organizers said the game was chosen to promote iovera, a cold therapy device designed to reduce pain in patients with osteoarthritis in the knees.
There's a new trailer out for the upcoming Elvis Presley movie. The three-minute promo for "Elvis" shows the uproar that Presley caused with his suggestive dance moves back in the conservative 1950s, and features Austin Butler as Elvis and Tom Hanks as his manager, Colonel Tom Parker. A roster of artists performing on the "Elvis" soundtrack has also been revealed, and includes Stevie Nicks, Jack White, and Eminem. "Elvis" is set to hit theaters on June 24th.

A Cincinnati Reds fan took home a baseball after making an unusual catch of a foul ball. Other fans at Great American Ballpark attempted to catch the ball, but it deflected off their hands right in to the man's beer mug sitting in a cup holder. He then gave the stands a show by standing up and chugging his drink with the ball still in the cup.
