Orange and Brevard counties have reportedly received letters from the state giving them 48 hours to comply with Governor DeSantis' requirement that school mask mandates including an option for parents to opt out their kids. Fines are threatened, but I don't see the counties knuckling under because the mask fines, compared with the vaccine mandate fines amount to nickels and dimes.
Also, back in 1996 the so-called "soccer moms" decided a lot of elections, and the same was true in 2004 with the"security moms". Now, a case is being made that the 2022 midterm elections may well be decided by "school board moms" who are furious with how school boards are forcing their kids of wear masks and green lighting cirriculum they don't want taught to their kids.
I think there's definitely something to this and we'll talk about whether it could be the key to Democrats getting swept out of office in the midterms.
