Fans Speculate Rihanna Is In The Studio With The Neptunes Again

Is Rihanna back in the studio with The Neptunes working on new music? Will we finally get to hear a new song, or dare we say album, from Badgalriri? The latter has become the age old question, but fans are speculating that the singer/business mogul has recently been in the studio with Pharrell Williams and Chad Hugo based on a little Instagram exchange.

On IG, Pharrell posted a photo from the studio with the equipment saying "The Neptunes" on it, signifying he was working on Neptunes music. But, things got really interesting when Rihanna commented on the picture ... with the hour glass emoji.

So, what is Rih trying to say? Does this mean she's been working with The Neptunes on her new album and she's releasing it soon? Is it a new song? Let's rewind.

Back in February, Rihanna posted a similar photo to her Instagram stories with similar studio equipment (that also said "The Neptunes") and at the very bottom, she wrote "gang. back in the STU."

Rihanna is no stranger to Pharrell and Chad as she worked with the two on 2017 N.E.R.D. collab "Lemon." Aside from "Lemon," the most recent song she appeared on is PARTYNEXTDOOR'S 2020 track "Believe It." Rihanna last released a project four years ago via 2016's ANTI, and since then has stayed relatively quiet on the music front to focus on business endeavors like her lingerie line Savage X Fenty, makeup line Fenty Beauty, and most recently Fenty Skin.

Speaking of Savage X Fenty, Rihanna recently announced her Savage X Fenty fashion show, which is returning to Amazon Prime Video, and fans can watch the star-studded affair on October 2nd. The show will feature performances from stars including Travis Scott, Rosalia, Bad Bunny, Ella Mai, Miguel, Mustard and Roddy Ricch, and special guest appearances from Lizzo, Bella Hadid, Big Sean, Cara Delevingne, Christian Combs, Demi Moore, Irina Shayk, Laura Harrier, Normani, Paloma Elsesser, Paris Hilton, Rico Nasty, Willow Smith and more.
