Central Florida: Feeding Families During Thanksgiving Week

From Nov. 25–30, organizations across Orange, Osceola, Seminole, Volusia, and Lake counties are offering pantry distributions, hot meals, and community celebrations that bring neighbors together during the holiday season.

Active Food Support:

As Thanksgiving week unfolds, Central Florida’s food banks, churches, and nonprofits are working tirelessly to ensure no family goes hungry.

Orange County: Second Harvest Food Bank of Central Florida continues daily pantry distributions, while Healthy Pine Hills Pantry Services provides ongoing support.

Osceola County: Community Coordinated Care for Children (4C) in Kissimmee keeps its pantry open, alongside local churches hosting dinners.

Seminole County: HOPE Helps Inc. in Oviedo offers holiday food baskets, and The Sharing Center in Longwood serves groceries and hot meals.

Volusia County: Second Harvest’s Daytona Branch distributes food boxes, with community dinners scheduled in Daytona Beach and Deltona.

Lake County: Southeastern Food Bank in Ocoee provides meal boxes, while nonprofits in Clermont and Leesburg continue pantry services.

Community Celebrations:

In the spirit of Thanksgiving across Central Florida, Community Celebrations highlight neighbors together in fellowship and care.

These dinners and outreach events go beyond providing meals—they create spaces where families can share gratitude, volunteers can connect with those in need, and communities can strengthen bonds during a season of generosity.

In times of rising costs and uncertainty, the simple act of gathering for food and fellowship becomes a powerful reminder that Central Florida’s greatest resource is its people, united in compassion and hope.
